Meeker CO is located in Northwest Colorado at the west end of the Flat Tops Trail
Scenic Byway. It's just a few short, beautiful miles from many access points to
the 235,000 acre Flat Tops Wilderness, the 2nd largest in Colorado, and some say

The Meeker, Craig and Rio Blanco County community offers opportunities for
horseback riding, backpacking, hiking, fishing, rafting,
snowmobiling, and cross country skiing, as well as what we're most famous
for - Deer and Elk BIG GAME HUNTING! You'll also meet
some of nicest residents Colorado has to offer right here in the White

or even hunt a black bear. Private land hunts, as
well as public property hunts are still available with our outfitters.

Meeker, CO with a population of approximately 2200 people (except during
hunting
season when it doubles!), is located in the heart of the White River Valley
in Northwestern Colorado. It is the western gateway, as Yampa, Colorado
is the eastern gateway, to the Flat Tops Trail Scenic Byway. Great fishing
spots are everywhere in the White River National Forest, Flat Tops Wilderness and the White River Valley.
The White River Community Association holds their
Buy Fly Fishing Tournament the
2nd weekend in March of each year at the Historic Buford School upriver
from Meeker. Fun for all and it also supplies the whitefish for the
Annual Community Fish Fry
which is held the second Saturday in June. Anyone can enter, but 12
teams maximum on the White River for this event.
